How JavaScript Works:-

History of JavaScript:-

Today, JavaScript is maintained by ECMA International, and its official standard is called ECMAScript (ES).

Variables in JavaScript:-

  • let (modern and recommended)

Data Types in JavaScript:-

JavaScript supports different types of data:

Primitive Data Types:

  • Number - Used for numeric values.
  • String - Used for text.
  • Boolean - True or false values.

JavaScript is a loosely typed language, which means you do not need to specify the data type when creating a variable.

Non-Primitive Data Types:-

Operators in JavaScript:-

Operators are used to perform operations on variables and values.JavaScript supports different types of operators:

Types of Operators:

  • Arithmetic Operators (+, -, *, /)
  • Assignment Operators (=, +=)
  • Comparison Operators (==, ===)
  • Logical Operators (&&, ||, !)
  • Ternary Operator (? :)
Operators help in decision making and calculations inside programs.

Functions in JavaScript:-

Functions are reusable blocks of code that perform specific tasks.

They allow developers to reuse code and make programs more organized.

A function can accept inputs (parameters) and return an output. Functions help reduce repetition and make code easier to understand and maintain.

Functions can be called multiple times from different parts of the program.

Control Statements:-

Control statements control the flow of program execution.

Conditional Statements:

  • if

  • switch
  • Loop Statements: Used to repeat tasks. Loops such as for, while, and do-while help execute code multiple times efficiently.

Arrays in JavaScript:-

Arrays are used to store multiple values in a single variable.

Objects in JavaScript:-

Objects store data in key-value pairs.

DOM (Document Object Model):-

DOM allows JavaScript to interact with HTML elements.JavaScript can access and modify the DOM to change content, style, or structure dynamically.

Using DOM, you can:

  • Change HTML content
  • Modify styles
  • Add or remove elements
  • Handle user actions
DOM manipulation is a core concept in modern web development.
